Interesting specialist bodywork for a brewer's dray (edit: Jen.......den Ale or Jennings? Golden Ale?) which possibly makes the cab details non-standard. Without recognising the actual truck or the (London?) brewery and without seeing the front it could be difficult to pin-down? -- Last edit: 2022-06-17 21:50:53 |

But, can’t upload as it’s on horrible p-interest, but here’s the link> https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/715650197027405099/ The logo on the dray’s radiator grille is “SLB” stylised, representing “South London Brewery”. As the cab is coachbuilt, there is little help in recognising the truck’s maker. -- Last edit: 2022-11-13 09:52:26 |

Courtesy of Geoff Dye Jenner south London Brewery advert (1).jpg S London.jpg Jenners S London ad 03.jpg South London Brewery Ltd, 134 Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1. Founded in 1760. Registered April 1937 as Jenner's Brewery Ltd. Name changed as above 1939 when acquired by Beamish & Crawford Ltd, although this seems to be more the Beamish family than the Irish company. Woodhead's Brewery Ltd acquired a stake in 1944 and this became the company's brewery from 1949. Brewing ceased in 1964 after the takeover by Charrington United Breweries Ltd. Buildings demolished |
