That is NOT a 240Z.

The earliest it can be is a 75 280Z. The turn signals in the grill and the large bumpers indicate this.

ALL 240Zs had the front turn signals below the front bumper and pushed out to the corners. They also had smaller bumpers.

prior to 1978 there were no black s30 z-cars. the Black Pearl Z was introduced for the 1978 model year. i wasn't totally sure from the capture, or even from the footage, but they do mention in the previous scene of the movie that the car is black. this car is driven by a character, but is only in the movie for about 10 seconds.

What took Datsun so long to offer black? Not like it's an exotic color.

i've heard that in nissan's eyes black was generally reserved for "cars of state"... and that it was the american influence that persuaded them to test market these last S30 cars in black. it must have proven to be a great success (no surprise), because a pretty high percentage of the S130 cars that followed were black.
