Should this not be “Model B Fourteen”? |

I don't know for sure, as there was both a B and a BF. |

Pick the bones out of this! It mentions a Ford “Fourteen” car. https://www.fordgarage.com/pages/UK2840ABmodels.htm |

Looking at this car, you can see why Ford were anxious to place a 10hp model in the range just above the Model Y. The competition (Austin and Morris really) both had 10hp cars selling quite well, Hillman had just introduced the Minx, and Ford had a gap into which the Model C would slip quite nicely. Even a 14hp car was, in 1934, considered to be a large and expensive to run vehicle. -- Last edit: 2023-09-21 08:49:21 |

Uneasy about leaving this as just Model Fourteen as it's got no friends. Juggling 2 sources (an early Glass's list when entries were sparse, and a Ford book which has enough errors to make it dodgy) there's not a lot of shared solid detail, and some overlapping codes - AB, AF, ABF - in the mix from 1930 onwards. But I think B and BF started 1932 with B as larger engine (3285cc) and BF as smaller (2043cc and 2038cc quoted). Nothing for 1939cc as DVLA figure, but suggests BF here. Suggest we use Model BF here (so it has some friends) with Fourteen if wanted. |

^^ My view would be in accordance with yours, as I said above. I don’t recognise the cc figure either. |
