In this video (at circa 00:05:00) I heard that the 404 and the R16 were built in Montreal in one and the same factory... Link to "www.ina.fr" |

In that case, we could use a Quebecois flag for "Built in"... |

Quebec is just a province, not a country. |
◊ 2015-12-01 15:53 |
But we do have a flag for it, my point. |
◊ 2015-12-01 15:55 |
Where? I can't find it. |
◊ 2015-12-01 15:57 |
Baube has it, and so does Harlan B. Hollis/PMEntertainmentLives. Isn't it in the car origin list too? -- Last edit: 2015-12-01 15:59:12 |

It isn't. Same for Scotland, Wales and England. |
◊ 2015-12-01 16:00 |
For some weird reason the name appears in the user country list, but not in the car origin list. |
◊ 2015-12-01 16:11 |
Well, I can understand the USSR, but Quebec?? (If you know what I'm saying) |
◊ 2015-12-01 16:18 |
The whole IMCDb-flag-systematics is weird. Illogical and really wrong. |

if so...can we have a Québec flag for 1993-2002 Camaro/Firebird then ?...... and some older GM products ' born' in Ste-Thérese ? Not that i don't want it, would be nice to see but i think its better to keep it CDN as nobody will probably ever search for ' build in Québec ' And what about Hyundai in Bromont ? -- Last edit: 2015-12-01 16:26:25 |
◊ 2015-12-01 16:27 |
Bah… Why do you say that, ingo? (I do not agree.) By the way, and about something else, does someone know why the abbreviation for "Canada" is "CDN" (and not, as logically expected, "CND")? -- Last edit: 2015-12-01 16:29:15 |

It would lead to impose the Ontario flag for the GM products made in the London (Ontario) plant. -- Last edit: 2015-12-01 16:33:04 |

and a bunch of Toyota..Honda...Chrysler....Ford..... and a Nova Scotia one for the Volvo that were made in Halifax.... would be a pretty nice mess... that we could make bigger by adding the state flag for the ones made in USA By the way, did a quick search and CAN is for the country, CDN would stand for canadian ( CanaDiaN ) -- Last edit: 2015-12-01 16:45:12 |

Sorry, is this a joke, really? So just for Italy we should (create and) add flags for Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Lazio, Molise, Campania, Basilicata, Apulia and Sicily? Would create only more confusion, let's stick to REAL countries. |
◊ 2015-12-01 16:44 |
^ I agree. |
◊ 2015-12-01 16:45 |
I thought at least the old USSRs (like Belarusian SSR) would be reasonable, but based on what I-Denev told me, they seem to have been the Russian states.... |
◊ 2015-12-01 16:59 |
on a another note, funny that they were built at the same factory...could understand for Peugeot and Citroen as they are part of the same group but just funny that 2 rivals companies are sharing the same space.. |
◊ 2015-12-01 17:12 |
Ah, merci. (But not merci for your "quick search" that bury me in shame.) (This explanation sounds strange, anyway, don't you think?) |
◊ 2015-12-01 17:50 |
I mean the different German flags. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Germany It's totally wrong, how we use it here. |
◊ 2015-12-01 18:03 |
As i said, was a quick search, because i don't know where to search ( and didn't knew the answer myself... ) so picked up the 1st site with a decent answer ( or at least, what i think is .. ) Yeah, strange .... maybe its not even the good answer... |

after searching as liitle bit more , the DN could stand for Dominion ( with C being Canada/Canadian, of course ) |
◊ 2015-12-01 18:45 |
Ah, j'préfère celle-là, Baube. And I'd unconditionally love it, would we have other examples of "DN" after a letter for British colonies marks. |
◊ 2015-12-01 18:57 |
yeah, there is where the idea has a little ' accroc ' why we have DN for Dominion and not the others ?.... |

I can't believe I missed this discussion. |

Probable colour 'Creme 340' (1971-1972). |
