Also a blue 1974-1975 Ford Pinto wagon. This is Times Square, New York, as it appeared in about 1973: http://flickr.com/photos/51539982@N00/225063297 I wonder how they did this shot. Could they have improved the quality of actual footage taken in Times Square sometime in the 1970's and used it, or could they have created it all with computer graphics? |

Unless actors from the show, or a car driven by a character, appear in this shot, it's probably just stock footage. As long as the film is in good condition, all they would need to do is telecine it (transfer it to video) and colour-correct it carefully. |

This is actually a Dodge Coronet. These weren't called Monacos until the 1977 model year. |

This scene is just stock footage. And you're correct about it being a Coronet. In 1977 A Dodge Monaco and a Dodge Royal Monaco were completely different cars, as was a Plymouth Fury and a Plymouth Gran Fury. The short names rode the "B" body platform and the long ones were "C" bodies. |
