Hi, I now own this Porsche.... Wondering if anyone here knows if it`s been in anything else ?? there is about half a second in this episode where the number plate can be read but would be nice to have something clearer in anything else ?? just spoke to the company who hired it out for use in the episode who was as helpful as praying ! cheers in advance |

Probably two cars - main does not have 1981+ wing indicator seen in thumb 2. @edgar - does your car have wing indicators? is it MSF 34X? |

Ok update !! the reg i have on mine is H F C 350 Y there are no wing indicators on mine. The reason i know... `thought` it was in this episode is from the seller who bought it from a company who did place my car in ashes to ashes but they do not recall when or for what episode... as background car etc... will have to check the footage again as the number plate can only be seen for a split second and i watched it on a phone !! I have only just aquired her and driven her once. Can confirm she is an auto which I don`t think are that common... any knowledge of what mine has been in appreciated... the mystery deepens ! |

Ok now I`m gutted its not my car... Unless the plates were changed ???? the previously posted reg is the car they steal... I don`t think any other reg is visible in the episode... Sigh... bragging rights down the drain |

See also corner of /vehicle_230465-Ford-Escort-RS-2000-1980.html - partly visible plate could be ....34X more than ....350Y. Same Avenger and Escort, although moved positions. |

Of course, it could be the same car with a fake plate. I can't recall if a date was given in the episode but maybe a Y plate would appear too new for a 1982 setting (being a late 1982 or 1983 plate). Though if that is the case I wonder why the plate they used comes from another 944... Note, how most of the cars don't have plates newer than X, even for Series 3. -- Last edit: 2013-04-17 17:53:19 |

I'm still puzzled why the main (and edgar's car) don't have wing indicators. Am away from home so unable to check my Pile of Books, but if all Porsche adopted wing indicators in 81, all 944 (introduced 82) should have them (unless US spec, which had different format on sides in front of wheels). Main has the side strip which does not show in thumbs - which early versions got this - Lux? S? |
