TR3 - I see no lock in the handle even if it is hard to see. TR3A avec des serrures, http://www.classicsportscars.eu/tr3/PICTURES/triumph-tr3-hood-sidescreen.JPG |

In this modification list the door handles are first mentioned with the TR3A: http://www.vtr.org/TR2/TR2-production.shtml |

No problem, Sunbar! I can understand when you wrote in english. But I'm to lazy to write in english too... @929V6: Yes, there is a modification with the door handle: the lock! There was a door handle on the TR3 too. But no lock. |

Fine, Bebert. I mostly understand the comments written in French or German but I fail dismally when using the languages myself. Getting back to the TR3 or TR3A discussion, there is one other clue I think visible. The front bumper was changed from the simpler 1950s style to a different profile on the later TR3A. The result is a more pointed end on the TR3A whereas the TR3 had a broader rounded end. The red car here is a 1961 TR3A more like the car in 'Marple: They do it with Mirrors'. -- Last edit: 2010-09-04 17:08:10 |

This is our car that we loaned out for the filming. It's a 1959 TR3A. It was filmed 30 Sept 2008. Same car as used in 'the Bank Job' and the lake district episode of the BBC series 'Britains Best Drives'. |
