Is that a Ford badge?

It looked like no European Ford I know before I realised this might be set in Brazil.

Oops. It's a Ford Del Rey, a more luxurious. And that convertible version is not made by Ford.

"In 1981 was born another success member of the Corcel family: the Del Rey. Specialist in luxury cars, like Galaxie/Landau/LTD, Ford perfected in this requirement for the new car. It was a medium sedan, of three volumes very defined, comfortable, luxurious, elegant, and offered four doors, option that it lacked in the line Corcel II. The drawing of the truck pleased, with the back low and of wide flashlights checking sophistication. The grating, of vertical friezes, sought association with luxurious Landau. The car had two versions of finish: Gold, more luxurious, and basic, that was known as Silver. The seats had sober drawing and the panel counted with abundant instruments, the more it completes national. There were oil manometer and voltimeter even, rare items in automobiles during the whole history of our industry. The blue light was of doubtful taste, but it was an attempt of fleeing of the conventional." (http://www2.uol.com.br/bestcars/classicos/corcel-4.htm)

These is a 1982-1984 Ford Del Rey Prata (Prata means Silver in portuguese), in the 80's it cost a lot of money, some magazines gave a price comparsion in about 2 times more than a regular Del Rey model. A car that cost 15k dollars in early 80's, can go up to 30k dollars in a convertible.

If a few could buy a brand new Del Rey, you can imagine how low was these conversion.

Today is a car desired by collectors after too many years "not welcome" in used car market.
