Don't believe the nameplate (in red?) over license plate was included on '39 Champions. Otherwise, on the right track -- could this be a '39 Commander? This photo looks genuine, circa 1947. Looks like a post-war '47-'50 Studebaker at far left in traffic. Note the CA plates (1940-1950), overhead trolley wires and checkerboard crosswalk pattern.
