nzcarnerd ◊ 2011-11-05 19:25	Do we get to see the radiator? Episode 3 played here last week so I will have to wait for a while to see this one. The long engine hood suggest it might be a Sunbeam 24/60.

I am not sure which model it is though because Sunbeam did not do an engine as big as 6 1/2 litres - http://www.sunbeam.org.au/models/index.html - their biggest engine was the straight eight - http://www.sunbeam.org.au/models/thirty.htm - and even that was only 5 1/2 litres. The 24/60 was 4 1/2 litres - http://www.sunbeam.org.au/models/24_60.htm - .

dsl ◊ 2011-11-12 20:22	The first HA xxxx plate issued in 1933 was 8500 and in 1934 was 9200, so 9165 would be Nov/Dec 33, pretty much as chris40's comment.

bungalbill ◊ 2013-03-28 10:55	Sunbeam 20/60 model run was 1924 to 1926. One vehicle with Chassis Number 1033/E was erected on 4th. February 1924 and was first registered as NP5462. More recently that car was registered HA9165 and garaged near Holcombe, Somerset. In earlier episodes the car was seen in a dark-red colour.
