It could be 1978... I couldn't find the reference to the headlight trim due it was removed. |

Not 1979, that year would've had chrome borders around the headlights. Blavk borders around the headlights indicate a 1978 version. |

Wow all types of inaccurate information here. It could be an F-350 or F-250. Best to label as F-Series. The available trim levels for 1978-1979 were Custom, Ranger, Ranger XLT, & Ranger Lariat. XL started in the 80s. Square headlamps were offered in 1978 on all trims standard except the Custom. Black bezels were standard on all trims except Ranger Lariat for 1978 & 1979. Brochures and blueovaltech.com verify this information. Chrome bezels were optional 1978-1979 on Ranger/Ranger XLT. That said this is a 1979 Custom by the black windshield molding and square headlamps. |
