1972 Volvo 144. There's visible quarter window in rear door. Has 1972+ smaller head restraints but pre-1973 tail. |

I'd bet this is a US Spec car purchased with Volvo's overseas delivery. ( Link to "www.volvocars.com" ) The plate holder looks US-sized, plus it has a sidemarker.
