I would say this one is a Sentinel 4/4 DV Pantechnicon. http://ccmv.fotopic.net/p25830484.html |

I cannot see an FE Series truck here. Morris-Commercial FE / Austin 3-ton/5-ton / BMC 7-tonner |

Found as a 1955-1959 Morris FE 5-Ton as here...![]() -- Last edit: 2019-09-10 17:25:39 |

That's a great picture. Bishop's obviously kept their trucks for more than a year or two, and appeared to like Morrises. No. 5 from the left is an unusual model, pre or post BMC? -- Last edit: 2017-06-20 22:33:53 |

Probably a 1953 Morris-Commercial LD Mk.I 1-ton & 1½-ton van chassis the fore-runner the the van on the extreme right the 1954 Morris LD1 & LD2 1 & 1½-Ton. I cannot certain, but I don't think there was a Morris-Commercial 2-tonner or above having the same Morris-Commercial grille? April 1952 looks to be the time of the introduction of BMC together with the Austin-Morris merger. |

As I recall it, the petrol engined LD sounded pretty much like the earlier "shed on wheels" PV, so maybe the engine and transmission was carried through. -- Last edit: 2017-06-21 15:47:59 |

Well found johnfromstaffs I had only a vague idea those trucks ever existed with the similar grille. New cab for 5-tonner FV series 2, looks like it was introduced November 1953. A fair representation by Corgi, dsl. Although the Bishop's coach-built cab looks to be wider without the elongated Morris style mud-guards. |

The Morris LD mk.I was indeed based on the chassis components of the PV model, but with a bigger 2.2 litre four-cyl ohv engine developing 46 bhp, according to the CM Archive. |
