It is a Chevrolet G-7117, 1½-ton, 4x4, with Cargo body and winch (1942) The small picture shows a GMC CCKW-353, 2½-ton, 6x6, with steel cargo body (1941). |

Supposed to be the same truck in the movie. Why didn't I spot there was an extra set of wheels? ![]() I will add an extra listing. |

Better check the film again, perhaps I am misjudging it. The cabs are identical, therefore it is always necessary to count the wheels and look at the air vents (too blurred here). |

Captured shot of the same truck just before the main picture. Therefore 6x6. ![]() |

Then it really is the GMC CCKW-353. Sorry for the confusion! It looks rather short in the main picture, but perhaps due to the wide angle lense used for filming. |

Thanks Alexander. No Problem. I will remove the other listing based on the first thumbnail picture. ![]() |

All of the other GMC CCKW vehicles on the site are identified as "GMC CCKW" or "GMC CCKW 352" or "GMC CCKW 353". The addition of the dash in the title "GMC CCKW-353" makes it the odd one out. |
