I am President of the R & S Series Valiant Car Club of NSW and have seen a lot of Valiants in Australia. They are refered to by people who don't know better as just Valiants but they are all Chryslers in Australia. They were never sold as a seperate make. Chrysler is the make. Can we put this to rest now.

tonkatracker ◊ 2011-05-09 01:42	As Gag Halfrunt stated any car can be imported and registered in the US if it is 25 years or older, also some more modern vehicles can be imported if they are made compliant but that is a huge hassle.

I just know the cars I like cannot be imported here.I'd love to have a 1980s Mitsubishi Lancer (box-type),from the Philippines (no need to convert the steering as they are on the same side) but I was told "Forget it, it can't happen.It must pass a crash test and the emissions have to be changed. IF you can get it here, it can only sit in the garage, unregistered and undriven." So I gave up on that dream.
