I think this is an improvised armoured car based on a truck ![]() |

Having done some searching it looks like it was operated by the Jordanian Arab Legion who appeared to be closely linked with the British, here is one of their unarmoured scout cars that looks pretty similar in layout and mudguards. Link to "www.morvalearth.co.uk" I think it is a Fordson but I will do some hunting through the archives tonight and see if I can find any good match. -- Last edit: 2014-12-22 15:18:44 |

1938 Fordson 3-Ton normal control 8-cyl 134" wheelbase Truck ![]() Similar to the six wheeled conversion Sussex E917T although I cannot say yet if the 4 wheeled truck had the same chassis number. /vehicle_207935-Fordson-Sussex-E917T-1939.html https://www.flickr.com/photos/richard64pics/8668668361/ edit: 1937 Fordson for reference ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-12-24 19:32:09 |

Another Jordanian Arab Legion picture with vehicles partly and completely armoured the centre vehicle looks to be the same Fordson truck, although possibly various vehicles were used.![]() http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/PrintTopic40528.aspx |

Nice pic Sunbar, it definitely looks like an earlier pic of the same truck before the radiator was armoured. From the look of the other two they'd chuck a load of armour plate on whatever they had in the carpark. ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-12-23 12:08:09 |
