The front wing indicator repeater identifies it as a 1968MY+ MkII. |

Later cars were 1300 and known as "Riley 1300" i.e. the "Kestrel" name was dropped. http://www.ado16.info/timeline_1969.php - July -- Last edit: 2008-11-28 18:48:46 |

The front of the yellow car (over the hood, left of the MG), isn't it from a Lotus Europa? |

According to www.aronline.co.uk the name Kestrel was only dropped in October 1968 for the 1969MY and the model was discontinued in July 1969. Since the MkII bodies were introduced in October 1967 for the 1968MY, this can be one of them and it's also the earlier variant of the MkII names. The yellow car is, indeed, a Lotus Europa. |

It could be either; we don't really know. ;-) Here's the full names of what it could be :- Riley Kestrel 1100 MkII or Riley Kestrel 1300 - http://www.aronline.co.uk/brochures/2588_01.jpg Riley Kestrel 1300 MkII - http://www.aronline.co.uk/brochures/2588_01.jpg Riley 1300 - No Brochure? -- Last edit: 2008-11-29 21:32:23 |

Some Mk2 Kestrel info here. Basically Mk2 1100 was too rare to be credible as an ID, so simpler to assume 1300 and use Kestrel 1300 name across all Mk2s - no-one would remember if we started hiving off some of them as plain Riley 1300. |
