Très fort! C'est un modèle spécifique au marché canadien. C'est une base de Chevrolet Chevelle fabriquée au Canada par Pontiac. Elle est de 1966. |

Le film ayant été tourné au Canada, ça semble logique donc |

A Canadian Beaumont of 1966 .These mid-sized cars were produced in Canada's GM Oshawa plant and sold through Canadian Pontiac dealers. They were based on and ressembled the Chevrolet Chevelle but had a split grille and had Pontiac Tempest instrument panels .Motorisations were also of Chevelle origin. The Beaumont make was phased out in 1969 when the American-Canadian Auto pact came into effect allowing the US and Canada to ship cars to each other without import taxes. As a consequence the Canadian plant was able to build the mid-size Pontiac Tempest and to sell it through its Pontiac dealership at normal competitive price in Canada thus rendering the Beaumont make superfluous. It is nice and extremely rare to see a Canadian variant in a picture |

Origine Canada! |

Beaumont should be as a make, if I understand? |

That's right but they are often identified as Pontiacs. Even the Beaumont emblem looks like a Pontiac emblem... http://www.classiccanadianbeaumonts.com/68beaudecal.jpg Here's another 1966 Beaumont SD http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2274935 |

There is no Pontiac name on it. We should see some commercial documentation to make sure, but I think Beaumont should be taken as a make in such a case... |

This should be model origin USA, made for (CDN), seeing as it's just a Chevelle with a different grille and badges... |

was made IN Canada |

Yes, in which case it should be "built in Canada", but not with Canada as model origin, since the design (apart from grille, badging, and other interchangeable features) is identical to a Chevelle. Same goes for other Beumonts and Acadians. |

And yet their own canadian design looks eaxctly like an american Chevrolet Chevelle. Such a coincidence! |
◊ 2023-04-01 01:55 |
not exactly.. you have to imagine a Chevelle with a Pontiac grille... |
