Agreed after further digging. Seems there were only 267 (or maybe 270) Majestics of all types; Glass's lists availability Oct 93 to Sept 94 (as above) on Jag Sovereign 4.0 [XJ40] and XJ12 [XJ81], plus Daimler 4.0 [XJ40] and Double Six [XJ81]. I get the impression that nearly all were V12s and most of these were Daimler D6, but have not got figures. This one is Daimler. |

Why? Would buyers have all wanted the big 6.0 V12 (thirstier, more expensive, more complex) when this is more of a limo than a fast driver's car? |

My impression was from reading the various references found ..... but it now seems I've caught a Jag instead - see the motif in wheel centres![]() ... which looks more like a Jag head than a flowing D. |
