Very interesting suggestion - a new one on me. Seems launched 1938 and then relaunched 1946 until 1949, but this full chrome may have been 1939 only. Comments from any Giants-Of-Old-Things??? |

I would say it has more in common with a Standard V8 Flying 20, but do not claim to be an expert or a giant!![]() http://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/STANDARD%201937.html /vehicle_773959-Standard-Flying-V-Eight-Twenty-20AV-1938.html |

Top of the grille looks more rounded on movie car and straighter across on Standard. |

!! Or it could be a Super Twelve !! I think they used the same pressings, but can't be certain as I'm working from memory. |

Renaming to 1947 Super Twelve because of This has disc wheels and the full chrome grille, so matches 1947 , 1948 , and this 1949 plate. |
