Dual rear wheels were indeed optional for 3600 models since 1954 (at least for stakes and platforms), but due to the front wheel rims, this truck is more likely a 1-ton 3800. Being based on a chassis-cab, it would therefore have the 3803 model code (xx09 codes were for the stakes).
