When Burt is getting in,I think it says Plymouth on the grille. Or as stunt vehicles, they used Plymouth grand Fury's, because they are so similar to Dodge Diplomats. For sure I Know that they used a Plymouth Grand Fury When Burt's car gets shot up. "PLYMOUTH" is clearly seen on the grille if you look close enough. Well, I don't own the movie but I've seen it loads of times. This movie has one of the craziest chases I've ever seen!! ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-05-15 23:02:13 |

The "Silver Pontiac" Is a 1976 Pontiac Parisienne. The driver has funny face expressions! ![]() http://www.fedrelandsvennen.no/amcar/grom/bilder/xy248.jpg -- Last edit: 2007-06-18 21:43:22 |

One of my favourite chases, involving a disgruntled police officer who literally does everything in his power to kill himself ![]() |

A lot of this was filmed right up from my old work in Vancouver, B.C., and the M151 military jeep and the WC-63 were owned by friends. At the time there were a lot of old surplus Plymouth Caravelles around and older Impalas and Caprices both retired from RCMP and city police services along with some tired ex-taxis often repainted and repainted again into different police colours. In Canada the RCMP used the Plymouth Caravelle where stateside it was Dodge Diplomats for the most part and the odd Plymouth Gran Fury. Some shows you'll see the star car as a Dodge Diplomat, then see the insert/ burn car is a Caravelle (the'Plymouth' on the grille is the usual giveaway.) |

Before the chase begins, and they first get into the car, it is a Dodge Diplomat. During the entire chase it is a Plymouth Gran Fury. It is quite common when a car is going through relentless hits during a sequence more than 1 car is used. With the exception of films such as Bullitt, the French Connection, The Seven-Ups... |

Is this a coded HD upgrade request? ![]() Anyway, I do have this one on my to-see list, and with this cast it'd better be good. |
