Ah, the legendary press-conference in Cannes. Believe me, he flipped out even worse publicly on numerous other occasions, e.g. on German TV. His behaviour in Cannes was rather polite, at least for his standards. Mental case for sure, but still often a rather impressive actor. |

I agree, fascinating actor but the Werner Herzog film 'Mein Liebster Feind' showed he really was an uncontrollable lunatic. It was almost as if Herzog was exploiting him for it. And this giant egotrip of a movie he was presenting at Cannes was received like a joke, hence the outburst... |
