Daimler 15 h.p. http://www.daimler.co.uk/daimlermodels/html/d15.htm |

Too many differences to be certain I think. Front wings, wire wheels, three door hinges, lacking the glass to the rear of the doors. I'm also unsure if its actually a Daimler radiator? |

If not a Daimler 15 it could be a Lanchester Ten. |

I think it possible that both cars were coachbuilt. The one in the link has been fitted with wheel discs which conceal wire spokes - quite common in the '30s on spoked wheels. I admit it's difficult to tell whether the radiator has the frilly top, but looking at the thumbnails it's the right shape. Alexander, the Lanchester's radiator was more pointed at the top and incorporated a suitably shaped Lanchester badge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lanchester_Ten.jpg |

Forget minor body differences, these were coachbuilt cars. Even so, I'm only about 90% certain, but the shape of the radiator says Daimler right away, even if you can't see the flutes. Certainly not a Lanchester radiator, although thirties models of Daimler/Lanchester/BSA tended to be similar due to the common ownership of the three marques. https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:1933_Daimler_Light_15_4385552170.jpg http://www.simoncars.co.uk/bsa/bsaten.html Link to "commons.m.wikimedia.org" Link to "www.oldclassiccar.co.uk" Making reference to the subject picture and the first link, it looks like the same coachbuilder, and we are looking at a two seater with dickey and a four seater under the hood. My guess would be Arthur Mulliner, but it's only a guess. -- Last edit: 2016-09-01 11:47:28 |

Good analysis, johnfromstaffs. Following which Daimler gets my vote also; as being the most likely and 90% is good enough I think! Light 15? |
