It's clearly an artic with 2 x 20' boxes on, and with the trailer clearly visible, and so can only be a Silver Knight tractor. We can't see the chassis layout to give the precise nomenclature but we can see that there is a Gardner badge on the grille. The Hunter is obscuring the lower part of the Atkinson cab, so we can't see if it has the post-1966 wide front wings over the 5.5T Kirkstall axle, or the narrow ones over the earlier 5T axle. |

![]() Not thw wider front wings I believe so before 1966. Also as said not the later dummy radiator cover and the wipers have top-pivot driver's side and bottom passenger's side, unlike the top hung later cabs? |

the additional photo confirms the narrow wings used up to the end of 1966, so it dates from somewhere between 1963 and 1966, unless it has been re-cabbed, or fitted with the later front wings. We can also see a Gardner badge, which will almost certainly denote a 150 bhp 6LX engine. Mk.1 cabs had nearside wipers mounted both top or bottom -- Last edit: 2022-01-13 15:28:39 |
