Looks like LWB tipper. Rare parrot-nose version - even more unusual for not being GPO Telephones??

The vehicle has a modified front to take a larger 5.1 litre diesel engine, the radiator has been moved forward and the cowling has been redesigned. The GPO vehicle with a similar front end is to permit a 3-man cab I believe by moving the shorter engine forwards.

5-Ton Austin or Morris FG K100 from July 1963.

Well done Sunbar there is a lot of confusion ( understandably ) with the snouted 6cyl 'big FGs' and the small GPO special FM .
( Although the FM was supposedly available to others as they issued a brochure but I have never seen one that is not GPO or ex GPO )

No problem, my memory has been able to cope at least with these trucks. Also I think its probably something like a builders truck with a drop-side body and a support frame behind the cab for long loads. It seems to also have a higher tailboard but the standard shallow sides (less than expected on a tipper?).

There's some bits on the back with a lower tailboard, and the spikey pole is part of the truck, not scenery background.

An early Ratcliffe Tail-lift with similar upper and lower rail extensions in 1968 had a 1-ton capacity.

Ratcliff of Welwyn Garden City started making tail-lifts in 1964.

Others like Edbro and Hydro Lift were also manufacturing tail-lifts by 1967 but if they looked similar is unknown and if they had the same capacity.
