Karrier K6 3-Ton GS 4x4 truck being assembled at the Luton factory of Commer Cars Ltd. The CM article says it ... "is equipped with an 80 bhp six-cylindered engine, four-speed gearbox and two-speed transfer box, and Tracta universaljointed front axle; the complete vehicle weighs 7 tons laden. With a tractive effort equal to 60 per cent, of its gross weight, it will climb earth grades of 1 in 24. It has a maximum speed of 43 m.p.h." |

Fascinating picture , few of these produced but they had good winches fitted so they were very useful as recovery vehicles. The winch can be seen at the rear of chassis in pic. -- Last edit: 2015-10-02 07:38:27 |
