This film show that these cars can outrun the American police cars... especially the Dodge Charger police cars. -- Last edit: 2016-01-05 13:49:44 |

Looks like a 1967 or so Dan Gurney Mercury Nascar, a reference to the legendary driver, seen in the picture that has been reposted above. I'll bet a lot of people don't know that one! -- Last edit: 2015-07-22 18:54:27 (Sandie) |

I surprised that police in the film didn't arrest the Monarch for arranging the De Leon Race. If someone did arrange a race like this in real life, that person would be charged with; conspiracy to commit an act against the highway code and accessory before and after the fact. -- Last edit: 2016-01-05 14:30:08 |

Couldn't they also be charged with any injuries, deaths and property damage that resulted from said race? |

They could charged them if their race resulted in death, injury or any property damage. That and I think the cops know about the Monarch and that they been trying to catch him for years as it was mentioned in the film that the Monarch had sponsored an number of F1 teams under various pseudonyms over the years. |

I don't see the car from the first race with the pop-up-n-down headlights. Does anyone know what it was? |

I personally think, for a movie called Need for Speed, the BMW M3 GTR from Most Wanted (2005) should've been in the film, even for only a few seconds of screen time. The M3 GTR is perhaps the most iconic car of the video game franchise, and this car in the film would've captured the spirit of the games better. |

The M3 GTR (in its race-going American Le Mans Series look) is a highly sought after car and a replica might've been used for it instead. |
